Florida summers in the Big Bend are when families and friends flock to the seagrass meadows of the Nature Coast to harvest bay scallops. Florida Sea Grant has created a scallop sorter tool to help harvesters keep the larger, meatier scallops and to throw back smaller ones to allow those scallops to grow and spawn for the following year’s season.
