Monroe Crews is the Research Administrator (RA) serving the Florida Sea Grant Administration office, located on Campus in Gainesville. Providing research grant administrative support for all research grants falling under the Florida Sea Grant department. Prior to his arrival to FSG, he provided support to the Department of Medicine (DOM) as a RA from 2023-2024 and prior to that serving as a Clinical Coordinator III for the Division of Cardiology within the DOM beginning in 2008. During his tenure at the University of Florida he has managed a wide range of research trials, both State, Federal & Industry from cradle to grave.

Monroe is a Florida native who grew up just west of Gainesville in Levy County and after a time spent in the US Air Force came back to Gainesville to work at the UF. Today he enjoys fishing for crappie and other freshwater fish and quilting. Monroe holds a B.A.A.S. from Texas State University, in San Marcos, TX with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Police Science.
