Responsibilities Develops education, information and marketing strategies for communications products that support research, education and management faculty programs. Creates communication products that enhance the knowledge of coastal and marine issues for scientists, agencies, businesses and citizens. Products include printed materials including technical publications and news and feature articles, video and materials for the Internet. Provides overall support for Sea Grant communications and outreach needs and incorporates new technological developments into communication products. Specialties Ms. Zimmerman has experience as a news writer and news editor for a number of newspapers in Kentucky and in Venezuela. She has been public information writer for the Tennessee Valley Authority, a technical writer for North Carolina State University and worked for two years as a publications editor and writer for Texas Sea Grant. Ms. Zimmerman has been a contract writer and editor in Brazil for such agencies as the World Wide Fund for Nature, the Pan American Health Organization, the US Embassy and the Council on Science and Technology in Brazil. Her most recent work was as coordinator of marketing publications in the Office of Executive Education at the University of Florida. Education BA, Journalism/Political
