A science-based training for planners, permitters, natural resource managers, developers and other professionals who make decisions about small docks and piers.

The registration fee of $20 (cash or check) will be collected at the door unless prior arrangements are made. Receipts will be provided. Please make check payable to "Friends of Extension."

WORKSHOP GOALS

  • Increase scientific understanding of the environmental impacts of small residential docks and piers;
  • Increase understanding of other small dock and pier considerations, such as navigation, aesthetic and public access issues;
  • Increase understanding of the regulatory requirements for small dock and pier construction and siting; and,
  • Better understand the connection between small dock and pier regulatory requirements and the environmental, economic and social considerations of communities.
