The four coastal counties in NE Florida (Nassau, Duval, St. Johns and Flagler) include the fastest growing county in the state, two major ports and the St. Johns River. Residents in these counties must learn how to manage increasing commercial and recreational pressures on the coastal environment while preserving important wetland, estuarine and nearshore habitats.
