Franklin County Extension
Apalachicola Bay is world-famous for its oysters and provides 10 percent of the nation's oyster supply. Franklin County and surrounding counties are known as Florida's Forgotten Coast. Franklin County is known for the fact that it has the World's Smallest Police Station (a phone booth in Carrabelle) and that it only has one traffic light in the whole county (a blinking light in Apalachicola).
