Re:      Project R/LR-X-43, NA76RG-0120, Florida Marine Science Project

3) The body of the request for the extension should contain two parts:

a. The first paragraph should identify what you are requesting.

I would like to request a no-cost extension for the above referenced project from October 31, 2000 until December 31, 2000.

b. The second paragraph will need to identify the PROGRAMMATIC reasons for the extension request. (The fact that there is unspent revenue is not a programmatic reason for a no-cost extension.)

This project is a collaborative project with the Florida Marine Research Corporation. Our role in the project is to perform the analytical analysis with data collected using FMRC vessels. The data collection process is three months behind due to adverse weather conditions which made it unsafe to collect data. It is anticipated that all data can now be collected and the analysis can be completed with a three month extension.

4) The fourth part should be any for any special closing remarks and for the signature of Principal Investigator.

5)  The final section should provide two signature blocks for use by the Director.
