Florida Sea Grant has taken a number of steps to reduce our carbon footprint and environmental impacts.

• We use only recycled paper and soy-based inks
• We minimize the use of hard copy documents
• The default setting on our printers is ‘double sided’
• We have reduced travel by using webinars in place of face-to-face meetings

• We hold meetings at green hotel facilities
• We actively participate in Clean Marina programs

• We actively participate in fishing line recycling programs
• We teach fishermen how to release fish in a manner that will help reduce mortality

• We teach people of all ages and cultures about environmental stewardship

• Where possible we use compostable or reusable cups, plates and utensils
• We actively promote the use of reusable water bottles to help cut down on ocean debris
